## Meaning of Aircraft balance

The distribution of aircraft mass determining its centre of gravity.

### More about Aircraft balance

Loading people, baggage, cargo and fuel changes both total mass and its distribution.

The centre of gravity must remain within the permitted envelope for the relevant conditions. A mass below the maximum does not by itself establish correct balance or suitable controllability.
