The horizontal tail surface contributing to longitudinal stability.

### More about Horizontal stabilizer

The horizontal stabiliser helps control the aircraft's pitch balance. It may be fixed with a movable elevator or use another configuration.

It performs a different primary role from the vertical stabiliser. Trim arrangements can change tail forces so that the aircraft can maintain a selected condition without a constant control input.
