## Meaning of Pressurization

The system maintaining a suitable air pressure inside an aircraft cabin.

### More about Pressurization

Pressurization controls cabin pressure while the aircraft operates at higher altitudes. Cabin altitude describes the pressure environment experienced by people inside.

The cabin is not normally held at sea-level pressure throughout the flight. Oxygen equipment provides a separate protective function if cabin pressure is lost.
