## Meaning of Refuelling

Loading aviation fuel while checking its type, quantity and safe handling.

### More about Refuelling

Refuelling involves supplying the correct fuel and planned quantity. The crew checks the resulting fuel load against the flight plan.

Required fuel depends on routing, weather, alternates and reserves. Full tanks are not always necessary or possible because fuel adds to takeoff mass and competes with payload.
