The Airbus H215M is a medium-heavy military utility helicopter belonging to the Super Puma and Cougar family developed over many decades. Its design supports troop movement, supply flights, and specialized assignments. H215M is the name of Airbus's military offering; it should not be confused with the civilian H215 or assigned the characteristics of an earlier Puma variant without explanation.

A spacious cabin and two engines are central features. Airbus states that the long cabin and two large doors allow different arrangements for people and freight. On a normal transport sortie this assists loading equipment and disembarking a team. Medical evacuation needs different fittings and procedures.
