Authorisation to conduct a flight or manoeuvre under stated conditions.
More about ATC clearance
A clearance can specify a route, altitude change, runway entry or another action. Crews acknowledge and comply with it under the applicable procedures.
A clearance does not remove aircraft operating limits or safety responsibilities. If the crew cannot comply, it advises the controller and requests an amended clearance.
