A calendar that returns each season
World air shows: a month-by-month calendar
Major aviation events do not disappear when the season ends. They return every year or every other year, to a familiar city and month, with a new programme.
How the calendar works
One address, many seasons
The event’s name and location usually stay the same, while dates, participants and the programme are updated for each edition. Each event therefore keeps a permanent name and address.
The month shown on each card indicates its usual season. Check the exact dates and admission conditions before travelling: organisers may change the schedule.
Annual air shows
Returning each season at roughly the same time of year. Exact dates and programmes vary.

Questions about air shows
Which major air shows take place every year?
Annual events include EAA AirVenture Oshkosh, the Royal International Air Tattoo, SUN ’n FUN, Miramar Air Show, Pacific Airshow, and the shows in Abbotsford, Cleveland and Chicago.
Why are some aviation exhibitions held only every two years?
Large industry exhibitions require a long planning cycle. Organisers, manufacturers and airlines use the time to prepare new programmes, exhibits and demonstration flights.
Can I use the usual month as a guide?
Yes. Most events keep to their usual part of the season, but exact dates may change. Always check the current schedule, tickets and admission rules before travelling.
What is the difference between an aviation trade show and an air show?
An aviation trade show is primarily a professional exhibition for the industry, though it may include public days. An air show is aimed at spectators and centres on flying displays.
