Stall
At a glance
Meaning of Stall
A substantial loss of lift after the critical angle of attack is exceeded.
More about Stall
A stall is an aerodynamic condition, not simply an engine stopping. It can occur at different speeds depending on mass, load factor and configuration.
Recovery follows aircraft-specific procedures and requires reducing angle of attack. A particular low airspeed is therefore not the complete definition of a stall.
