Meaning of Thrust

The propulsive force produced by an engine or propeller.

More about Thrust

Thrust helps move an aircraft through the surrounding air and must be considered alongside drag, lift and weight.

Its available magnitude depends on the propulsion system and conditions. Maintaining constant speed in a particular condition requires an appropriate force balance; maximum thrust is not used throughout every flight phase.
