The AW109 Trekker shows how different variants of the same family can be: it is a lightweight twin-engine helicopter with its own set of design and operational solutions.
Unlike GrandNew, Trekker should not be taken as just another name. When choosing, it is important to look at the exact specification of the side, its chassis, equipment and intended role.
For a private owner, the difference will manifest itself in the requirements for sites, salon and maintenance; for a special operator - in the ability to install the necessary equipment. The AW109 index does not address these issues.

Why Trekker is not GrandNew
Trekker has a blade chassis, while GrandNew uses a retractable one. This affects ground work, maintenance and site selection; the two names cannot simply be considered as different finishes of the AW109.
When comparing, inspect the actual passenger door, equipment loading, and the location of things. These details will tell about the suitability for the route of more general photography.
One class, different roles
Trekker is offered for service, medical and passenger tasks. The installed technique takes up space and mass, so six places from the catalog may not correspond to a specific execution.
The range figure is published without a fuel reserve. For regular trips, ask for a calculation with a real composition of people and an approved stock.
